Historic Preservation

Across the country, DAR members contribute their time and money to restore hundreds of historic locations. In addition to the National Society projects, many state organizations and local chapters own and maintain local historical sites. For example:  The major restorations of Madonna of the Trail located in Richmond, Indiana at the entrance to Glen Miller Park, 22nd and East Main Streets.  This was a State project to which all Indiana DAR Chapters contributed.
