Samuel Bryan Chapter participates in the Beech Grove Veteran’s Day Service

Members of the Samuel Bryan Chapter, NSDAR gathered together with the City of Beech Grove to honor our Veterans in a Veteran’s Day Service at City Hall.  The Mayor of Beech Grove welcomed everyone to the service with a posting of the Colors by the American Legion Post 276. An opening prayer was delivered by Pastor Dan Bailey and Pastor Mitch Mosier gave a Scripture reading.  The poem “Flander’s Fields” was read by Steve Nontell and “God Bless America” was sung by all. Samuel Bryan Daughters read the names of Veterans and placed a wreath and the Beech Grove Police Department played Taps.

DAR’s Samuel Bryan Chapter Recognizes Good Citizens

Beech Grove, Indiana – The Samuel Bryan Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) have the pleasure of recognizing the winner of our chapter Good Citizen Award.  

The DAR Good Citizens program and Scholarship Contest is intended to encourage and reward the sparkling qualities of good citizenship in our students. The program is open to all high school seniors enrolled in public or private schools accredited and in good standing with their state board of education. Students are not required to be United States citizens.

DAR’s Samuel Bryan Chapter and Hornet Park Community Center Recognizes Local Veterans

The Samuel Bryan Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, along with Hornet Park Community Center in Beech Grove held its third annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday afternoon. This free luncheon for all local veterans began at 11am with Chapter Regent Patricia Moy welcoming all in attendance, reminding them that this event was to celebrate their courage, sacrifices, and to sincerely thank them for their service.
