“Our Nation’s Capitol” bulletin board on display at Southport Intermediate School

Samuel Bryan Chapter’s newest bulletin board at Southgrove Intermediate School shows a poster with a night view of the Capital Building and the skyline of Washington DC.
Photos with descriptions of just a few of the important buildings in DC. The map shows the layout of the streets and buildings from the Capital building including the Supreme Court, National Archives, National Library of Congress, Smithsonian, Space and Air Museum, Washington Monument, The Holocaust Museum, and others, with the title of “Our Nation’s Capital”.

DAR’s Samuel Bryan Chapter Recognizes Good Citizens

Beech Grove, Indiana – The Samuel Bryan Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) have the pleasure of recognizing the winner of our chapter Good Citizen Award.  

The DAR Good Citizens program and Scholarship Contest is intended to encourage and reward the sparkling qualities of good citizenship in our students. The program is open to all high school seniors enrolled in public or private schools accredited and in good standing with their state board of education. Students are not required to be United States citizens.

DAR’s Samuel Bryan Chapter and Hornet Park Community Center Recognizes Local Veterans

The Samuel Bryan Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, along with Hornet Park Community Center in Beech Grove held its third annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday afternoon. This free luncheon for all local veterans began at 11am with Chapter Regent Patricia Moy welcoming all in attendance, reminding them that this event was to celebrate their courage, sacrifices, and to sincerely thank them for their service.
