Samuel Bryan Chapter Celebrates 32 year Anniversary

Samuel Bryan Chapter celebrated our 32-year Chapter Anniversary with an Awards Ceremony, Luncheon, and Holiday Cheer.  Many members and “HODARS” (husbands of daughters) were in attendance despite the cold weather.

The 2022 Good Citizen Awards and scholarship were awarded to two amazing local students. Olivia Jackson of Roncalli High School was awarded the Good Citizen Scholarship, and Jonathan Reid of Franklin Central High School was awarded a Good Citizen Certificate.  Their families joined the students to celebrate their recognition.

The student selected as the school’s DAR Good Citizen must have the following qualities:

  • Dependability (truthfulness, honesty, punctuality, etc.)
  • Service (cooperation, helpfulness, responsibility, etc.)
  • Leadership (personality, self-control, initiative, etc.)
  • Patriotism (unselfish loyalty to American ideals)

Lots of certificates were awarded to Samuel Bryan’s daughters for their stellar service to the Society, the Chapter, and to their community.
